Practice with me: Dorian minor scales

Dorian minors for tenor and alto sax - practice with me!

This is the 4th video in the 'Practice with me' series.

We take a detailed look at Dorian minor scales, making sure that you understand the construction of them. Then we look at where they come up in music and how to use them. We then play one over a lovely backing track, hit the chord tones and do a little gentle improvisation, all of which is written down so that you can follow along.

Then we practice each scale together, I play it nice and slowly, leaving a space for you to play it too. All the notes for alto and for tenor are written at the bottom of the screen for you. At the end of the video you can screen shot the Dorian scale recipe so that you can work one out in any key.
